Gran Canaria has a first-class international airport, Gando Airport (code LPA). It is possible to fly from this airport to all major cities of Europe, not just from the capitals of each state. There are also direct intercontinental flights, or flights via transfer stops in many European cities. In addition, it is possible to travel from some capitals of West Africa, either on direct flights or through Madrid.

The company Global is responsible for intercity transport on the island of Gran Canaria. The cost of travel by bus between the airport and the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus is between 3 and 4 €. The bus runs every hour between 9 and 21 hours. The journey takes 20 minutes. It stops at the Plaza de Santa Catalina in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. A taxi journey from the airport to Santa Catalina costs about 25 euros.

Check the frecuency of the Bus line number 60, the one that goes from the Airport to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The grey squares means that the bus goes directly to Santa Catalina Park, by the hotel area. At different hours (basically at nights), the bus will take you to San Telmo Bus Station, so you need to take another bus (yellow bus) from San Telmo Bus Station (locally called Intercambiador de San Telmo) to Santa Catalina Park Bus Station (locally called Intercambiador de Santa Catalina).
From Santa Catalina Park, where the journey ends for the bus from Gando airport, there are several bus lines with departures every 5 to 15 minutes during the whole day and night destination Auditorio Alfredo Kraus. The bus company in Guaguas Municipales. The cost of the journey is about €1.50.
While you're in Las Palmas we recommend you make a journey on foot on the 'El Paseo de la Playa de Las Canteras', the promenade along the beach, one of the tours of the city. It is a 15 - 20 minutes walk.
