The GNOME command-line translation management tool

Author(s): Simos Xenitellis

Currently, translations are committed manually to the GNOME VCS, which is a cumbersome, time-consuming process for those who commit the work. With this tool, it is possible to automate the process of managing repositories and submitting translations, enabling team coordinators to focus their effort on the localisation process itself. For example, as more translation teams complete all their translations, it is possible to use scripts that can fix errors across the modules of a GNOME release. The purpose of this tool is to complement the facilities provided by l10n.gnome.org.

He is currently leading an effort, with local funding, to complete the localisation of GNOME 2.26 for both UI and documentation, by the end of May.
