Press Room

There will be a pressroom available for use by journalists. It provides free wifi, powerplugs and a place to sit. Interviews could be conducted there, or anywhere else in the conference center. During the first four days the Press Room will be in the main conference building. The name of the room is "Sala Lanzarote". Follow the signs to the press room or ask anyone from the organisation.

Procedure

The easiest way to get an interview would be to contact the person you want to interview and ask for a good time. You can use the press room, or any other place. Furtheremore, there is a list below which contains well known people who are available for interviews. Contact the people below to arrange an interview with any of them:

Schedule for press room

Please note that there are keynote sessions on Saturday morning, and one more at 15h on Saturday. Press conferences will not begin before 15h.

Below is the press schedule. These people will be available for questions during the times noted in the table.

Note: Richard Stallman asks that press attend his presentation before the press conference, and that they do not commit the two most common errors which he disapproves of: referring to "Open Source" rather than "Free software" and referring to the entire system as "Linux" rather than "GNU/Linux".
